How we handle your information

Piton Consulting is a sole proprietorship registered in British Columbia. This notice explains how we collect, use and protect personal information through this website, in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Personal information we handle for clients under a service agreement is covered by that agreement and its data-processing terms, not by this notice.
What we collect and why

We don't use advertising trackers or sell personal information. We don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask.
Service providers
Our managed services are hosted in Canada. Information submitted through our website contact form is processed by Formspree in the United States before being forwarded to us. Your form submission is therefore stored and processed in the United States and may be accessible to US authorities under US law.

This website does not load fonts, scripts or images from third parties.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 24 months. If you become a client, your contact details are kept for as long as needed for the engagement and for tax records (generally 6 years).
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent where applicable. Email pitonconsultingbc@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
